Introduction to Kundalini Kriyayog

Kundalini Kriyayog is one of the most sacred and powerful spiritual practices handed down through an unbroken lineage of enlightened masters. This ancient science combines specific breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation (dhyan), and energy practices to awaken the dormant Kundalini energy at the base of the spine.

The Lineage of Kriya Yoga

The practice of Kriya Yoga was revived in modern times by Mahavatar Babaji, who taught it to Lahiri Mahasaya in 1861. From Lahiri Mahasaya, the tradition passed through Sri Yukteswar Giri, Paramhansa Yogananda, and continues through an unbroken chain of realized masters.

At Kriyayog Mission Foundation, GuruMaee Maa Rudratmika carries forward this sacred tradition, initiating sincere seekers into the practice of authentic Kundalini Kriyayog.

Benefits of Kriyayog Practice

  • Spiritual Awakening: Systematic awakening of the Kundalini energy through the chakras
  • Mental Peace: Deep inner calm and freedom from anxiety and stress
  • Physical Health: Improved vitality, immunity and overall health
  • Self-Realization: Direct experience of the divine Self within
  • Karmic Cleansing: Purification of past karmic impressions

How to Begin Your Journey

The first step is to receive Kundalini Kriyayog Diksha (initiation) from a realized Guru. At Kriyayog Mission Foundation, we conduct regular Diksha programs at our ashrams in Pune and other locations. During initiation, the Guru awakens the dormant Kundalini energy and teaches the sacred techniques of Kriya practice.

After initiation, regular practice (sadhana) is essential. Most practitioners start with 30-45 minutes of daily practice, gradually increasing as they progress on the spiritual path.

The Four Levels of Practice

  1. Basic Kriyayog: Foundation techniques of pranayama and meditation
  2. Advanced Kriyayog: Deeper techniques for chakra activation
  3. Bramh Khoj: Quest for the Supreme - advanced inner exploration
  4. Himalaya Sadhana: Intensive practice in the sacred Himalayas

Whether you are new to spirituality or an experienced seeker, Kundalini Kriyayog offers a systematic and scientifically designed path to self-realization. Join us on this sacred journey.
